She says she’s had to hide at her mother’s house because of paparazzi

Former Playboy playmate Dani Mathers found herself at the center of controversy—and sentenced to three months of probation—after sending a Snapchat of an unsuspecting naked woman, and captioning it, “If I can’t unsee this, neither can you.” Now she’s speaking out for the first time, expressing remorse for what happened. In an interview with Good Morning America, Mathers apologized for her Snapchat and said the backlash has nearly ruined her life. She also still maintains that she accidentally made the post public, and meant to only send it privately to a friend. Mathers said the backlash has completely changed her life, especially because the paparazzi have hounded her. “To hide out at my mother’s house at age 30 because of something I’ve done, it just felt really low,” she said. “I had lost my privacy after taking privacy from somebody else.” She said she hasn’t been able to meet the 70-year-old woman in her Snapchat, even though she wants to. “I just want her to be able to move on and move forward in her life, and not feel judged or that what she was doing was being ridiculed,” she said. “I never meant to hurt her. I hope that she can forgive me.”In addition to three months probation, Mathers must perform 30 days of graffiti removal in the Los Angeles area as part of her sentence. She ended up pleading no contest to an invasion of privacy charge.
