A cow named Doris is getting love for doing something relatable: pretending to sleep to avoid chores
Not everyone is a morning person. Just ask Doris, a dairy cow in England.
We've probably all tried it — pretending to be sleeping to get out of chores — but Doris' owner knew the cow was faking it.
Doris, who lives on Reads Farm on the Isle of Wight in England, has since gone viral for this relatable routine.
"Oh Doris, Doris has got a fantastic personality. She is definitely more person than cow," dairy farmer John Brodie told CNN.
When Doris pretended to be asleep when it was milking time, Brodie called her out for it.
"Doris? Come on. I see your ears moving. Come on, I can see your eye," he told her.
So, how did he know she was faking?
"Around 30 seconds beforehand she had her head up and was looking straight at me," Brodie said. "She put her head back down thinking she was gonna get away with it just to push her luck, be cheeky."
Doris has gained a lot of fans online and hasn't taken Brodie's discipline personally, which she shows by frequently licking him on the back of his head.
"It means as far as I'm concerned, she accepts me as a member of the herd," he said.
