WATCH: Cincinnati Zoo's penguin chick named after 'Golden Girl' character has first swim lesson
Cincinnati Zoo's penguin chick Rose, named after the character played by the late Betty White in the wildly popular "Golden Girls" sitcom, just got her first swim lesson.
The zoo posted a video of Rose getting her first lesson with her care team.

The chick was named on what would have been White's 100th birthday.
“Betty White was a huge zoo supporter and animal lover,” Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard said. “I had the pleasure of making her acquaintance years ago when she attended a Cincinnati Zoo fundraiser. We introduced her to our first ambassador cheetah, Angel.”
The zoo is known for naming its penguins with fun, unique and honorable names. All of the zoo’s king penguins are named after famous "kings" — Martin Luther, Bibi, Burger, Larry, Stacey and Stephen.
