After taking a that left her with in November, Carrie Underwood is finally ready to talk about what really happened.
"I was taking the dogs out and I just, I tripped," she said on The Bobby Bones podcast, according to . "There was one step and I didn’t let go of the leashes. Priorities!"
"So, that’s why my left hand is fine," she continued. "I went to catch myself and just missed a step. If I would’ve fallen anywhere else I would’ve looked just fine.”
The 35-year-old then shared how her injuries affected the progress of her work. "It set me back," Underwood admitted. "The most frustrating part was trying to work out with a broken wrist and how much it can throw off your world, having an appendage that’s there, but you can’t use.”
The country music superstar kept a low profile for about five months after the incident, but made her at the Sunday.
“It feels good to be back," she told Bobby Bones. "It always feels good, but it feels good."
Underwood the release date for her sixth studio album "" Wednesday, so she has plenty of new projects to promote in the upcoming months.
However, that doesn't mean that she is done talking about the accident that almost left her scarred for life. “I don’t know if I’ll ever be done talking about it, because it was an event in my life and I’m OK," Underwood said.
