GOP presidential candidate Ryan Binkley made several stops in Boone County Thursday. It's one of the 64 counties the Texas businessman and pastor said he's visited in Iowa. Binkley met with linemen at Midland Power Cooperative in Boone. There, he talked about energy and economic policies. He then spoke to a crowd of voters at Boone County GOP's 11th annual Eisenhower Social. Gov. Kim Reynolds and Vivek Ramaswamy also spoke at the event. Donald Trump appeared virtually through a pre-recorded, personalized video for Boone County. A recent Des Moines Register poll shows Binkley polling at zero percent among likely Iowa Republican caucusgoers. He said focusing on key issues like inflation and landowners' rights will help him gain support in the polls. "I'm a grassroots candidate right through Iowa. We've been through 64 counties already, so we're going to keep sharing this message of economic freedom, land right freedom and start also caring for the poor," Binkley said. According to data from the Federal Election Commission, Binkley's campaign spent over half a million dollars on ads in the state of Iowa alone since May. "We care a whole lot," Binkley said. "We're doing that because we have to inspire a next generation. We have to tell them that we care. We have to tell them we care about their jobs, we care about their future."vlog spoke to voters at the event who said they are still undecided.
