Thanks for joining us. I'm Megan Mitchell, starting with authors who use their skills to teach others. Our first story takes us to Baltimore where *** mother poured her pain from the loss of losing her daughter into *** book that can help others grieve. WB *** LTV reporter Jennifer Franti has this powerful story. Her dream to become *** policewoman had finally come true. She was finally the person she wanted to be. Debbie Sorrells is reading from *** children's book. She recently wrote about her daughter Amy Caprio, the fallen Baltimore County police officer was killed in the line of duty in 2018. In the story of the dragonfly officer, Amy dedicates her life to helping others. It was illustrated by Amy's sister Laura and it was published by Apprentice House Press at Loyola University Maryland. It's the country's first student run publishing house. It's in the *** amazing opportunity to get involved in the publishing industry, still being *** student and get *** real world experience. Books are published for free for authors across the country. Debbie hopes the story of the Dragonfly will help kids understand that death isn't the end memories can keep the person alive.
