Jessica Lange will make her return to American Horror Story for the crossover Apocalypse season, which will also feature Sarah Paulson reprising two of her classic characters.It was Paulson who revealed at the TCA press tour on Friday, that Lange will appear in the upcoming eighth season's sixth episode, reprising her Murder House role as Constance Langdon.Paulson will be directing this episode, in addition to playing both Murder House's psychic Billie Dean Howard and Coven's Cordelia Goode in Apocalypse.Lange's character Constance Langdon was last seen in Murder House abducting her grandson Michael Langdon, who will be all grown up in Apocalypse and played by Cody Fern.Apocalypse will center around Cordelia and her coven trying to stop the Antichrist, Michael, from unleashing a potentially world-ending evil onto humanity.Series co-creator Ryan Murphy had said last year that he was keen to bring Lange back into the fold for the long-awaited crossover season after she famously walked away from American Horror Story after season four.Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman and Adina Porter are all returning for Apocalypse, with Dame Joan Collins and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman joining the ensemble.Also at the TCA press tour on Friday, FX renewed American Horror Story for a tenth anniversary season to air in two years, but cautioned that it could be the last.
