99-year-old woman turning heads on the golf course in Florida

99-year-old woman turning heads on the golf course in Florida
They say age is just *** number today. We'll show you extraordinary seniors who prove that age is no barrier to living life to the fullest from surprising feats to inspiring journeys. These seniors redefine what it means to age gracefully. Thanks for joining us. I'm Kelly Ribbon. Our first batch of stories explore the vibrant lives of seniors who have pursued their passions for decades. In Massachusetts WCBB. Reporter, Nicole Estefan joins *** cheerful group. They move, they grew, they shake it like the pros. But the people behind these pom poms have *** bit more experience. You tell people that you're *** cheerleader. What's the reaction? Oh my God. Are you kidding? These women? No men yet are proof that you are never too old. And 68 80 74 we're visiting the Palm Tastic cheerleading squad practice inside the Linfield Senior Center. The squad came together in 2022. Thanks to Joey Edson. Now, this is not your first run as *** cheerleader, right? No, no, I've been cheery since I was uh junior high and then Patriots cheerleader. We were called the Spirits of New England back then. She still has the boots to prove it. Joey says her path to the NFL sideline was really about her husband's love for the team. My husband convinced me to go to the tryouts because he wanted the preseason tickets and I came in this little leotard with sneakers and it looked so out of place and I was the first person that got voted in, but then I got put in the back line. They now perform throughout Massachusetts. Joey Edson's aunt also named Joey says happiness is contagious here. Her energy just radiates through the rest of us and it's happy to dance. It's happy to be with friends. Do you think you'd be shaking it at your age still? No, I wasn't thinking about that but it doesn't surprise anybody. They make it look easy, but Jody keeps everyone on their toes. Is it hard to keep up with? It? Sure is. But this isn't just about cheering for *** tea. You can't walk in this room without feeling happy. It's about cheering for your style. Jemiah and Bonnie are both working. You have to remember and you have to move and that is great in our range to do. Joey has *** big goal for the future of Pom Tastic to be able to get out there and perform again. If I want Bob Kraft to have us come. Well, they may need to cut the weak link first.
