A brave 9-year-old boy is being credited with saving his family in a house fire Thursday morning in North Carolina. Firefighters said the home was fully engulfed by the time they arrived. Levi Harris was sleeping on a couch when he woke up and saw the fire and alerted his father and a woman in the home.The family was able to escape unharmed, and five units responded and had the fire under control in about 30 minutes. The home is considered to be a total loss.Firefighters said the blaze may have been started by an open flame in the living room. The boy's dog died in the fire.
