Donning a pink crown and a bushel of balloons, Legula Styles-Estiloz entered the lobby of The Willows, where she lives near Pittsburgh, and was greeted by staff and other residents wishing her a happy 105th birthday. Last year, Styles-Estiloz celebrated her 104th birthday in the hospital, recovering from COVID-19 and a COVID-19-related heart attack."For my mother to be here celebrating her 105th birthday, one year after surviving COVID, that's a true miracle," Tim Estiloz said.When asked when she wants for her birthday, Styles-Estiloz had a small request."I want my friends, that's all I need," she said.Born Jan. 20, 1917, Styles-Estiloz attended school in the Pittsburgh area, got married, moved to Philadelphia and later became a nurse. "I never thought I would be this old, but I'm glad that I am," Styles-Estiloz said. "Every day of my life has been a happy day."
